High Tech Dentistry
LASERS: Electrosurge lasers change the shape of teeth by modifying the gum-line. Through this procedure smaller teeth can appear larger, and larger teeth can look more in proportion with others. Laser gum therapy is used in conjunction with traditional hygiene methods. Our laser is so precise, it only removes a few cell layers at a time. It offers a non-surgical option for mild to moderate periodontal disease.
INTRA-ORAL CAMERA: The intra-oral camera, no bigger than a common dental mirror, projects enlarged images of teeth and gums on a television screen to aid Dr. Cochran in confirming her diagnosis. You can personally see developing problem areas before they become severe. A picture can also be printed out on the spot.
ZOOM 1-HOUR WHITENING: Teeth whitening or bleaching is one of the most popular areas of cosmetic dentistry. Even subtle changes in color can make a person look years younger. Several factors can contribute to the darkening of the teeth such as age, certain foods and drinks, smoking and medications. Dr. Cochran offers two systems to whiten the teeth, both in-office 1 hour and take home procedures.
AIR ABRASION: This is a means of removing tooth decay without causing pain and without the use of a dental drill. Air abrasion is a high-speed jet of air containing sand particles. The decayed area of the tooth is removed comfortably without the use of injections. This treatment is only effective when the amount of decay is very small.
DIAGNODENT: Diagnodent uses a wavelength to detect even the smallest of cavities at the earliest stages, which enables the patient to preserve the optimum amount of tooth surface. No anesthetic or x-ray exposure is needed when using the Diagnodent. There is a 90% accuracy in the detection of decay when using this device.
PROPHY-JET: The Prophy-Jet uses air, water and sodium bicarbonate combined to remove heavy extrinsic staining (such as caused by smoking, coffee, soda, tea, etc), plaque and soft debris. The Prophy-Jet also polishes tooth surfaces and is very effective in cleaning patientsí teeth who are undergoing orthodontics.
CAESY SYSTEM : The Caesy system, which is available in every operatory, is an educational video system. Caesy provides information for all services which are provided by our office, from simple restorations to full mouth makeovers. After Dr. Cochran has given her thorough dental examination, we will direct you to the video monitor for a full explanation of the recommended treatment. Fully colored illustrations are accompanied by a detailed voice-over explanation. Any questions you may have regarding treatment will be answered before you leave our office. An educated patient is a happy patient.

If you have an urgent condition, you can contact our office and we will take care of you the same day. Our front desk staff is here and available to answer any questions you may have five days per week. Our hours of operation are as follows:

Family Dentistry
Dr. Cochran's practice provides a wide array of cosmetic dental procedures, as well as a wide variety of general dentistry procedures for the whole family. Services for the whole family include dentures, sealants, check-ups, cleanings, fluoride treatments and radiographs. We also can provide nitrous oxide ('laughing gas') to ensure that our patients are completely comfortable before we begin treatment.
Full Mouth Makeover
Full mouth makeover involves restoring the teeth, bite, muscles and self-esteem back to a natural looking and youthful feeling condition. Using computerized technology and an artistic eye, full mouth restoration may be the answer to many problems, such as heat-sensitive teeth, sore jaw muscles, and recurring headaches.
Bridges / Implants
A Bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the missing one are prepared as crowns to serve as abutments to hold the prosthetic (replacement) tooth in place.
Implants completely simulate a natural tooth. Implants involve a surgical procedure that replaces missing teeth. A titanium cylinder secured in the bone functions as the root of your tooth. Then a crown attached to the titanium cylinder gives the appearance of a natural tooth.
